Did you know that you can earn BOTH Delta Skymiles AND Hilton Honors points every time use the ridesharing service Lyft?

It couldn’t be easier to earn points and miles with Lyft. Soon you’ll be on your way towards free travel. Here’s how:

Not only can you avoid parking costs by riding Lyft, you can also earn BOTH Hilton Honors points and Delta Skymiles

One thing I love about the points and miles game is that there is always something new to learn. Previously on the blog, I showed you how to earn Delta Skymiles or Hilton Honors points when you ride Lyft. Being able to earn BOTH would be too good to be true, right? That’s what I thought, so I figured it wasn’t possible. It turns out I was wrong.

When you sign up through the links below, you will earn BOTH Delta Skymiles AND Hilton Honors points (in addition to whatever points your credit card earns) every time you ride with Lyft (not a Lyft rider? Consider making the switch!). Basically you are triple dipping (or “stacking” benefits)!

Link your accounts today for free!

1. Sign up for Lyft (U.S. & Canada only)

If you don’t already have a Lyft account, you can sign up for one here. You’ll get up to $5 in ride credit if you download the Lyft app using my referral. (I’ll get credit, too.) Here’s my link: https://www.lyft.com/iei/KATHY12247

2. Earn airline miles and hotel points

A. Delta Skymiles

If you don’t have a Delta Skymiles account, you can sign up for one here.

Once you have an account, go to https://www.deltalyft.com to link your Skymiles and Lyft accounts, and you’ll earn miles with every ride.

Earn Delta Skymiles when you link with your Lyft account. This is a super easy way to earn points and miles.
Here are the details according to www.deltalyft.com

As we discussed here, Delta miles do not ever expire. So even if you are not a particularly frequent Delta flyer, time is on your side. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to accumulate miles for free award travel.

B. Hilton Honors

In 2019, Hilton announced that you can now also earn Hilton Honors points when you ride with Lyft. If you don’t have a Hilton Honors account, you can sign up for one here.

Then, go to HiltonHonorsLyft.com to link you Hilton Honors and Lyft accounts and, you guessed it, you’ll earn miles with every ride.

Earn 3x Hilton Honors points when you link your Hilton and Lyft accounts. This is a very easy way to earn points and miles
Here’s the fine print on this deal.

Checking my Delta Skymiles and Hilton Honors balances this morning, I can confirm that I received points on BOTH accounts after riding Lyft this weekend.

  • This screenshot of my Delta Skymiles account page shows that I earned Delta SKymiles on a recent Lyft ride
Each Lyft ride earned me miles on Delta…
  • This screenshot of my Hilton Honors account shows that I also earned hotel points for that very same Lyft ride.
    and Hilton Honors points!

To keep your Hilton account secure, be sure to set up two-factor authentication. We explain how here.

3. Wash, rinse, repeat

Voila, that’s how you earn points and miles with Lyft. See how easy that was?

Does anyone else in your family use ridesharing? Have them do this as well so you aren’t leaving any points on the table.

Let us know if you took the plunge and started earning points towards free travel.

Nice! Thanks! I will keep this in mind, maybe when Sergi goes to the ATA meeting this year!
